This single was ‘Killing In The Name’ and was released on the self titled album ‘Rage Against The Machine’ in 1992. This album may be getting close to 20 years old but it sounds as good and refreshing now as it did at its time of release; containing 10 classic songs all created by the bands instruments, no computer enhanced or manufactured rubbish like what clutters the airwaves today. There aren’t many bands that sound like RATM. The tracks are all excellent and the lyrics are still relevant in today’s world. It contains some memorable well written guitar riffs and solos perfectly complimented by the bass and drums. A great addition to any collection.

‘Rage Against The Machine’ was the best release of 1992 which popularised the mix of hip-hop/rap with rock music. This album had an epic influence on a good proportion of what became nu metal and other similar genres.
My favourite tracks from this album would be the famous ‘Killing In The Name’ and ‘Wake Up’. ‘Wake Up’ is would be familiar to most people who have watched ‘The Matrix’ as it forms part of the soundtrack for this film.

If you have not listened to any RATM or do not own any then this album is the perfect one to start with.
Since his days drumming in Nirvana, Dave Grohl has grown into a rock ‘n’ roll icon and this ‘Greatest Hits’ collection shows exactly why. Including ‘Everlong’ and ‘All My Life’, the best tracks from 1995′s self-titled debut through to the band’s sixth effort ‘Echoes, Silence, Patience And Grace’ are all here.

The 9th studio album from Metallica sees the band go back to their roots with complicated riffs, awesome guitar solos and inspired vocals. This album is a return to form and the bands best work since the late 1980′s. Each of these songs could easily have fitted into any of their 1980′s albums. Having ditched producer Bob Rock for the veteran Rick Rubin Death Magnetic reinstates many of Metallica’s early motifs–searing riffs, shredding solos, pounding drums–and even updates them with a huge, 21st century sound. James Hetfield’s vocals and the pounding rhythms of Lars Ulrich are as powerful as ever, Kirk Hammett’s solo’s are back and better than before while Bass player Rob Trujillo appears on a studio recording with the band for the first time having joined the band after St. Anger had just been recorded. Death Magnetic is Metallica’s first album in five years and it is a long-awaited return to form for the Californian quartet.
